A survivor of cube #41 along with Aoyama, he participated in the sky-high hopscotch trial with Akashi. He is calm, collected, and apathetic, and he regards all of those around him as idiots. He believes his life has always been boring because of a thing he has never experienced, defeat. Akashi, placing absolute trust in Tasuku, foils his plan of saving only the two of them so that he would be forced to come up with another plan for saving another participant. When they encounter a final run of letters spelling out "twelve" in the hopscotch competition, Akashi can not jump far enough to unlock it so Tasuku has to. The group believed that the clock would spin around until twenty four real hours had passed, but Tasuku surmised that there would be only one spin. Tasuku, who had initially planned for Akashi to press the last letters so that he would survive and Akashi would die, allowed his role to be reversed and fell 634 meters down to the earths surface as Akashi passed the trial.
