Grey was the top enforcer in Chicago for the drug-peddling Syndicate. He was so violent and cold-blooded that even Syndicate bosses feared him. When Gray tried to force Ken Taki back into a life of crime, he came into direct conflict with Rally Vincent—a conflict that left him maimed. He later had his right hand replaced with a vicious spring-loaded machete blade and set about directing the Syndicate's Chicago resources to destroy Vincent and her friends.
