A man sent to the chair for a crime he didn't commit, a man named Johnny is reborn as Ash, a man with the ability to turn to ash and form solid matter from ash. Guided by Angel, an angel bound to him by "The Committee", Ash is given a single mission, to prove other wrongly accused criminals innocent. As a rebellious soul, Ash ignores the rules set for those given the privileges to return and uses his own methods to save the innocent people.
